“Past loves I learned are worth remembering, but I also learned long ago that they are not worth repeating. You will never have what you once had or held. It’s a whirlwind of memories of usually the good times, and forgotten about heartache that happened. Then if you dare to repeat a relationship, that past hurt will bubble up and spew forth as memories get triggered. So if you find yourself in this dismay, my only advice that I can say, is to decline the come what may, and save yourself from yesterday. A future is brighter if the past is left behind but learned from, and that’s knowledge gained. So save yourself new pain and heartache and let yesterday stay where it belongs. A repeated outcome is a choice you make, especially if you failed to realize that you are responsible for yourself today.”
