“Her darkness was shadowed by the light in her smile, the pain she hid from the world, I could see it from a mile. If she only knew she was someone who was already beautiful through and through. But she has to see it and believe it and it can’t come from me or you. She goes into her darkness and thinks no one knows, knows how it feels to be in the depths of the shallow shadows, if there was some light in that darkness she would indeed see me. I just don’t stay there, it takes time to deal with certain kinds of dispare. Maybe she’ll see my parting from the darkness leaving a trail of light, I hope she finds me out in the blinding light.”
